Sia made history at Coachella 2016. She gave a totally out of the ordinary presentation in which contemporary dance, acting, and a creative and aesthetics sense were at the center.
Now, who is this versatile Singer that hides her face and transforms her shows into artistic performances where dancers such as Maddie Ziegler, actresses and actors such as Kristen Wiig and Paul Dano, and comedians such as Tig Notaro stand out?
Behind the two-colored wig, the person hidden is Sia Kate Isobelle Furler, an Australian aged 40 who became famous in the year 2000 with the single Taken for Granted, from the album Healing Is Difficult, in which most of the songs refer to the death of her couple, Daniel, who died in a car accident.
Her jazz and R&B was acclaimed by critics at that time, but she kept trying new styles and in 2004 she launched Colour the Small One, featuring a down tempo style that mixes acoustic and electronic sounds.
In 2010, she was diagnosed with Graves’ disease, but that didn’t prevent her from going back to the first places of worldwide rankings with the success “Chandelier” that moved the audience with a video clip interpreted by dancer Maddie Ziegler.
Besides, Sia has written songs for stars such as Rihanna –to whom she wrote the song Diamonds–, Jessie J, Kesha, Shakira, Beyoncé, Rita Ora, Christina Aguilera, and Kylie Minogue; has created the sound bands for the films Twilight, The Hunger Games, and The Great Gatsby; and has collaborated with artists such as David Guetta, Flo Rida, The Bee Gees, Katie Noonan, Katy Perry, David Byrne, Tegan & Sara, Eminem, Celine Dion, and Jamiroquai.
For all these in Le Banana we celebrate her music and her talent!
Enjoy it!
