If you like art and you are thinking of visiting an exhibition, we suggest that you don’t miss the first retrospective of Russian artist Kazimir Malevich in Argentina, which will be at Fundación Proa till December 11th.

The exhibition goes through Malevich’s work through more than 50 artworks that show why he was and will always be a revolutionary man that was a turning point in the history of contemporary art and broke the mold of painting with Suprematism, reducing pictorial elements as much as possible.

Simple geometric shapes, being the square the maximum exponent, the election of primary colors and abstract art characterize this artist and that is evident in all the works of art of the exhibition curated by Eugenia Petrova.

Although, without any doubt, the costumes that Malevich designed for the opera “Victoriy over the Sun” in 1913, with 20 futurist and geometrical costumes of straight lines and strong colors that truly changed the history of art are the milestones of his work.

The retrospective is a journey to the best part of the avant-garde movements that change forever the art of the XX century and a unique opportunity to see for the first time the original artworks of a one-of-a-kind artist

Enjoy it!
