Apart from being a Hollywood star and one of the most charismatic actresses, Kate Hudson has become an example of how to lead a healthy lifestyle.

That’s why in Le Banana we read her book: “Pretty Happy: Healthy Ways to Love your Body”, and we’ll tell you her five energizing exercises to start the day:

1) Stretch: stand up, breathe in deeply through your nose and out through your mouth. Stretch arms over head, grab your left wrist and lean to right; then repeat on opposite side.

2) Leg warm-up: do a squat, bend at waist, bringing torso to thighs. Repeat 4 times. Then, lie down on a mat and stretch arms over head.

3) Leg stretch: Sit on a mat, put a strap around one foot and hold it with both hands. Lie down, keep the other leg flat on floor, raise the leg that has the strap, and with the strap and your hands stretch it gently to your head, the knee slightly bent. Let that leg fall to one side to stretch the tight, then to the other side. Switch legs.

4) Roller: If you have a foam roller, place it under your back, perpendicular to your body. Roll up and down spine. If you don’t have a foam roller, you can make one with a blanket. You can also buy one at a sport store.

5) Gentle spine twist: Lie on your back. Bring one knee across your body -for example: the left knee to the right shoulder, bend slightly to one side. Stretch arms out to each side. Try to keep shoulders flat on floor. Then switch sides.

That’s it! With these five simple exercises that will just take you some minutes you will start your day better.

Extra tip: Remember that stretching is really important to prepare your body before working out.
