Chance The Rapper, Arcade Fire, and The Killers played at the world´s biggest musical festival in 26° edition.
Four days of the purest rock&roll, hip-hop, EDM and pop. That was what more than 100,000 attendees enjoyed each day at Chicago, on the world´s biggest music festival that, last year, on its 25th anniversary, added one more day to the party. Same thing will happen next year in Buenos Aires, in March -from 16th to18th – and that has already sold out the three first ticket instances.
Chicago had the most uneven shows. Weather conditions complicated Lorde and Muse´s performances badly as they could only played three songs each before the rain and a thunderstorm alert ended their participation. Another show that didn´t have a happy ending was Liam Gallagher´s. Twenty minutes after his start, he left the stage having played “Fuckin ‘in the Bushes”, “Rock’ n ‘Roll Star” and “Morning Glory” by Oasis and two own tracks “Wall of Glass” and “Greedy Soul”, as the artista said having audio issues.
High expectations were landed at Kanye West and Jay Z’s protegé, Chance The Rapper, who performed at his city -dressed in a Champion´s T-shirt and Gucci belt – to play his wide Coloring book filled with rap, soul, trap and R & B sounds. Last year álbum featured more than 20 huge artists such as Kanye, Justin Bieber, Future and female rapper Noname, who recently performed al Panorama NYC.
Montreal´s band Arcade Fire’s closed the third night with a setlist that included classic tracks like “Reflektor” and “Afterlife” and new ones from Everything Now álbum. Also, the Canadians performed a John Lennon cover for “Mind Games”. Arcade Fire was as electrifying and forceful as of The Killers´ performance. Brandon Flowers and company review its wide repertire and honored the English Muse with “Starlight”, as they could´nt played it the day before due to heavy weather conditions.
