If you go to Los Angeles and you visit Venice, you must stop at the classic restaurant Rose Café, an iconic place in the heart of the neighborhood which opened in 1979 and was remodeled in November 2015.
The place is really cozy, with a pop and hipster style, group and individual tables, and terraces that invite you to relax and enjoy the fresh air. Though, of course, if you want to keep on walking around, you have the take-away option.
The best about Rose is that everything is home-made. They have a brick oven where they make home-baked breads and all kinds of cakes and sweets. Besides, they have options for lunch, dinner, and brunch that offer the best of Southern California cuisine.
Our suggestions? The “Cubano” sandwich, with pork belly, ham, mustard, swiss, sweet pickles, and carrot juice to drink. And if you prefer to have breakfast or a snack, we recommend that you try the Cardamom donuts with green tea or the Buttermilk pancake.
