We visited Polo Lounge, the restaurant of one of the most classic and iconic hotels of the United States: the Beverly Hills Hotel and Bungalows.
With more than a hundred years of life and known as the Pink Palace, this hotel is synonymous with Hollywood’s Golden Age. Many film stars are part of its history: the one that people remind the most is Elizabeth Taylor, who celebrated six honey moons in bungalow number 5, which was her favorite. Marilyn Monroe was also a usual guest, and she spent most of the time in bungalow 1.
Nowadays, it keeps being a meeting point for the entertainment industry and it is a classic to visit in Los Angeles.
If you go there, we suggest that you sit at the terrace, a summer like space, surrounded by flowers and hummingbirds, which was also Marilyn and Charles Charlie Chaplin’s favorite. In fact, table number 1 was permanently booked by Chaplin for years. Besides, nowadays, it is the place chosen by the Kardashian family to have lunch many days a week.
Our suggestion? As starter, the Ahi Tuna Tartare and the Baby Beet Salad; as main course, the Black Truffle Tagliatelle, which are incredible; and if you love desserts, we recommend that you try the Banana Cream Pie, an irresistible temptation.
Where?
9641 Sunset Blvd, Beverly Hills.
