Today we invite you to know Paris through the eyes of Martina Villar, Fran Tinelli’s girlfriend and one of the millennials that is in the limelight of Argentine showbiz. Textile engineer- to-be, cool, and elegant, she talks about her favorite Parisian shops and reveals to us which is the perfect hiding place in the city of love.

How would you define yourself?

I am simple, sensitive, and cheerful. When talking about relationships it’s difficult for me to be neutral, it’s black or white for me in that sense. I am versatile; I can eat at a small restaurant in my neighborhood or at a glamorous place. I am curious: I read, paint, draw and I love fixing things.

Do you like fashion?

I like fashion, but I am not obsessive about it. I am not interested in having all the rage clothes. I like people who don’t worry about it and who customize their looks depending on their characters and they do what they want with what they have. That’s why I love street styles.

Which clothes are must ítems in your wardrobe?

Black in all its possible shapes: T-shirts, dresses, shoes, and bags.

Which is your favorite social media and what is what like the most and the less about it?

My favorite social media is Instagram. I like seeing how people express themselves and create a feed of their favorite things and activities: their pets, paintings, food, landscapes. However, I don’t like people showing things that are not real, a fake life… sometimes they post things they don’t even know or believe in or sometimes their lives are quite apart from what they show.

Which is your beauty routine?

Truth is I follow a simple and basic routine: I exfoliate my face every other day when having a shower. I wash my face with facial soap and I moisturize my skin twice a day, every single day. I always remove the make-up before going to bed and I try not to sunbathe, and if do it I use sun block.

Which is your favorite perfume?

Miss Dior

And your weakness?

My doggy Pitita. She drives me crazy.

Paris City tour

A coffee store: I love the view of Eiffel Tower from Trocadero that’s why I love “Café Du Trocadéro” for having tea and eating macaroons. I also like crossing the street there and having a glass of rose at “Le coq”. And for those who love tea, like me, I also suggest that they go to “MariageFrères”.

A hotel: “HôtelAmour” at 9th neighborhood. It is a unique experience. All their rooms are different form one another and all of them were designed by different artists. It also has a cool restaurant, having lunch or dinner at the garden is great.

A Museum: I read books about art since I was a child, and I realism and impressionism have always stunned me that’s why “Muséed´Orsay” is my favorite. It has the greatest collection of impressionist paintings of the world.

A restaurant: To have lunch, a typical Parisian restaurant near Place Vendome: “Au bistro”, it is cozy, simple and it offers quality food. To have dinner, “LeFlandrin”; I still have the flavor of its dishes in my memories.

A shop: To see and buy Paris best clothing brands, “Place Vendôme” and to see jewelry, Rue de la Paix. Some time ago I found that near Ópera and Galeries Lafayette shops have great collections. Other must-see places are vintage stores, full of items and typical French brands that are not found anywhere else. One of those places is Colette, which offers unique pieces.

A bar: Exotic rugs and a piano that can be played by any guest, make “Castel” be one of my favorites. Other cool and eclectic places are  La mano” and “Le montana”. For those who prefer and after in front of the Tower, I recommend “Mrmouche” and for those who are looking for a different place, I recommend  “Maxime”, with a fancy Art Nouveau style.

A hiding place: “Colonnes de Buren”, a work of art with stripped columns where photographers, shootings, art galleries, and vintage stores meet. It also has a fountain perfect for sitting down for hours.

A must-see place: Versalles. Astonishing in every single sense.

A neighborhood: Montmartre. I wouldn’t spend the night there but I strongly recommend it for a sunny afternoon. Paris view from the church and the square full of artists make this place really worth-seeing.

If you were a character of a film shot in Paris, which one would you be? Coco Chanel.

A place nobody told you to go and that you found yourself? I discovered many places by myself, so there is not just one place. Sainte Chapelle, Gallerie Vivienne and La casa de Lavirotte are just some of them.

Paris with friends or with your boyfriend?Paris as life shows it to me!
