In the framework of Art Basel, first presented at Design District in Miami, in 2012, Louis Vuitton’s Object Nomades exhibition collection is an initiative that was created to pay homage to the brand’s travel heritage. Made up of unique pieces, limited editions and experimental prototypes, the ongoing proyect’s intent is to demonstrate how Louis Vuitton’s DNA can be a muse for contemporary designers.
To that end, the house has tapoed some of the most renowned creatives in the world to participates over the years, including the Campana Brothers, Patricia Urquiola, Gwenaël Nicolas and Marcel Wanders.
Joining that prestigious group this year is Tokujin Yoshioka, a Japanese designer known for his interestin trascending the boundaries of art, design architecture though creations informed by nature an our five sense. His contribution? The Blossom Stool, an undulating piece of craftsmanship that’s honest to his aesthetic and reminiscent of a magnolia in bloom. A new design that is already an icon of the brand.
