The most important music festival landed for its first time in Paris with great performances from The Weekend, Lana del Rey and Red Hot Chilli Peppers.

After Chicago, Berlin, Argentina, Brazil and Chile, this time it was Paris turn. The music festival founded in 1991 by Perry Farrell made its debut in France where more than 100,000 people vibrated with great bands and artists such as Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Weeknd, Imagine Dragons, Lana Del Rey, DJ Snake, London Grammar, ALT-J, Pixies, Liam Galagher, La Femme and Skepta, among many others.

British people like Glass Animals and rapper Skepta were in charge of the first afternoon at Logchamp Racecourse before The Hives’ arrival suited in black and white, the Swedish led by Pelle Almqvist raised the temperature as Imagine Dragons paid tribute to Chester Bennington, Linkin Park’s who committed suicide last week with their hit “Demons”, before rounding up with “Radioactive”.

Next was Abel Tesfaye’s turn. The Weekend was one of the main attractions of the festival and gave a similar show to the one he did this year at Hipódromo de San Isidro, Buenos Aires. Everyone at Paris sang last album, Starboy, while fireworks lit up the night with his main hit “I Feel It Coming”.

On Sunday, La Femme played and sung in french for their crowd, before dance before Lana del Rey flirted and sang her new album, Lust for Life tracks. Her popular songs such as “Summertime Sadness” and “Born to Die” came in as it was raining cats and dogs over Paris. Before getting off stage, the young diva joined the crowd to take selfies, sign autographs and smooch some fans.

The Red Hot Chili Peppers were the perfect corollary for Lollapalooza’s French debut. Flea and Josh Klinghoffer lauded the public who, despite the heavy rain, did not stop jumping and chantings on a massive mosh over hits such as “Can’t Stop”, “By The Way” and “Californication”. For a french kiss goodbye, RHCP “Goodbye Angels” and their always fashionable “Give It A Way”.
