Music for everyone; all the genres, all the styles, all the rhythms closed the Third Day of Lollapalooza Argentina Sixth Edition.

“Good night everybody! Sorry, good afternoon! It is an honor for me to be here at the greatest festival of the world”, said La Mona Jiménez as soon as he went up on Main Stage 1 at San Isidro Racecourse.

Carlitos Jiménez -who has released 90 albums and has a 50 year career as a professional singer- made his debut at Lollapalooza and he didn’t let us down. He sang all his hits: “Un muchacho de barrio”,“Quién se ha tomado todo el vino”, “La pupera” y “Beso a beso”; and after the show he brought us the funniest moment of the festival when he met Lollapalooza creator and did not recognize him.

They aren’t Led Zeppelin, but anyway, Greta Van Fleet centennial and millennial audience for sure doesn’t ’t know anything about the band led by Jimmy Page and Robert Plant. Kizka brothers, the twenty- year-old American rockers who appeared in 2012 to change rock and roll, drove festival goers crazy before sunset. Josh went up on stage dressed in 70s clothes, and so did the rest of the band. Embroidered vests, velvet black and red pants, fringes and metallic shirts were part of their outfits. They started with“Highway Tune”, and they followed with “When The Curtain Falls”, other songs from their album From The Fires (2017) and others from Anthem of the Peaceful Army, released last year.

It was his first time at Lollapalooza but he made his debut directly from Main Stage 1: Paulo Londra, the latest Argentine trap idol born in Cordoba who has millions of views on all social media, offered a great show on Lolla Day 3. As a s good showman, the 20-year-old singer opened his show inviting someone from the public to strike some balls to a basketball hoop. Then he sang “Cuando te besé”, “Adán y Eva”and “Dímelo”. For the flashes and to close the show, he invited Steve Aoki to play together “Forever Alone” remix.

When Londres finished, Lenny Kravitz played “Fly Away” and he then went on with other classics and some of his last songs such as Raise Vibration. When he finished singing “American Woman”, he sang Bob Marley’s “Get Up, Stand Up”, and then he continued with“Low”, “It’s not Over ’til It’s Over”and “Again”. As the rockstar he is, New Yorker singer went off the stage by the end of the show  to meet his audience and he closed the night with “Are You Gonna Go My Way”.

Kendrick Lamar controls silences, flow and intensity as no one else. On his first show in Argentina, Kung Fu Kenny -his alter ego with whom he opened a series of visuals short films- went from the pure rap of  DNA and ELEMENT (from the album DAMN) to the funk style of“King Kunta”, of To Pimp A Butterfly. He also tested his old fans with album that changed it all: good kid, m.A.A.d city. He sang “Swimming Pools” and then “Backseat Freestyle”, with fans shouting “DRANK!” all the time. Then he asked for a minute of silence in honor of Nipsie Hussle, an LA rapper who died that very same day in ring of his clothes store. “We’ve lost a soldier”, he said after interpreting “PRIDE”.

On the second part of the show, he sang some of his best known songs, and people didn’t stop dancing and singing for a single second at Main Stage 1. To close the show he played “LOVE”, “Bitch Don’t Kill My Vibe”, “HUMBLE” and the more popular “All The Stars” which he created for the film Black Panther, in collaboration with SZA.
