Jazmín Chebar is presenting its Summer 2018 campaign whose star is once again the charming top model Mica Argañaraz. After New York Winter, this year Jamaica is their Summer love.
Directed by Pogo and Supernova, styled by Fini Bencardini and photographed by Nacho Ricchi, Mica goes on holiday to Bob Marley and Peter Tosh’s native land in search of some inspiration and coziness, and she finds a magic world full of colors, positive energy and tropical music.
Jamaican Dancehall typical of the end of the ´70s charms her and she learns to relax to the sound of a different kind of reggae. This is the atmosphere that can be seen in Jazmin’s Summer clothes, with fresh, lively, and colorful prints and summery, natural and high quality cloths.
Summer landscapes and relaxing music were the perfect match for designs that varied from funky to surf-like styles in natural fabrics such cotton poplin, linen and silk. In denim pants, shapes relax and get wider. Oversize jeans are worn in light colours, to the waist and slightly washed.
Tigers, pineapples, and palm leaves come back to Jazmin’s pieces of clothing. Black and white bows with words and texts can be seen in the whole collection and monoprint outfits go through every line in iconic pieces of the brand such as bomber jackets and beige trench coats, wich now come with tigers and hand-painted stars. “We play with prints in different ways in each piece”, says Andrea Barbuto, one of Jazmín Chebar’s legendary designers.
