Since this week London Fashion Week is in limelight, we thought it was a good idea to pick a British icon and show you her style and character.
Georgia May Jagger, Mick Jagger and Jerry Hall’s daughter grew up under the light of the Star System and is trying to continue with the her family legacy and be a millennial star.
She is just 25 years old and is already known thanks to her kindness, well-education, and charm. Besides, the youngest daughter of The Rolling Stones singer has a great career in the fashion world and is a guide for millennials.
What is surprising is that Georgia May didn’t want to be a model and had her first chance in a casual way in 2008, when Vivienne Westwood put her on the runway. From then on, with British Vogue heading the list, her image gained popularity as it appeared in fashion magazines, and it reached the peak at the end of 2009 when she was chosen as the image of Versace, replacing Gisele Bündchen.
“I love fashion and I love setting trends, not recycling them. I travel a lot and the ideas of make-up artists and stylist change a lot from one country to another. It is a real pleasure to represent those different ideas”, May said in 2014.
Her blonde hair, her body, her unique teeth, and her 70s like aesthetics make specialized press to compare her with the unforgettable Brigitte Bardot.
Regarding her fashion keys, Georgia chooses outfits that mix pieces of different styles, with basic t-shirts (some of that belong to her father), shorts, boots and leather jackets among her favorite items. While for galas, she generally picks firms Gucci or Givenchy.
But not everything is fashion world in her life. As many other millennials –Gigi Hadid about women beauty stereotypes, Selena Gómez raising awareness about bullying, among others- Georgia May uses her influence and raise her voice about political or social maters. In fact, over the last months she has used social media and her public appearances to criticize Donald Trump, joining to the voices against the new president if the United States.
