Carmen Alen revisit a basic and sporty sillhouette for summer in bright colours
Dolores Trull, María Vázquez, “Star Guitar”, by The Chemical Brothers, Nicole Neumann, Andrea Bursten, Paula Colombini, Mariana Arias and Fat Boy Slim, came all together down the runway on Alen’s fashion show at BAF Week.
This summer obsession brings along the´90. Millennial designer Carmen Alen (28) who was mentored by the creative Jessica Trosman was born in this decade and she seems to be be enjoying it for the first time.
The brand brought high-impact tones on sportswear. On one hand, an adhering, silhouette in short dresses, overallls and two-piece outfits – one shoulder tops and leggings – in fuchsia, yellow, red, orange and black, in the best American Apparel style.
On the other, heavier materials in an oversize morphology: denim and cotton jersey appeared in huge track suits such as pantacourts, sweatshirts and maxi hoodies as dresses, denim trenchs and oversize cotton shirts, stylized with bright satin stilettos and football socks with cumbi slang phrases like “yo, filthy bitch”.
