KERING’ S INITIATIVE TOWARDS A“FUR FREE” WORLD

0

By Leandro Infante

Kering, the luxury fashion company that was known as PPR and which is owned by François Pinault, has launched an environmentally friendly proposal. The firm owns luxury brands such as Gucci and Saint Laurent which have always led positive changes in the market and now it is at the head of something really innovative.

Last year, Gucci informed that it would stop using furs for its clothes, joining in so doing the “fur free” global movement. At that time, Saint Laurent did not follow Gucci’s steps but now the fashion  holding has announced that it will spread its environmentally friendly imitative to al its brands and that it will put into practice the highest production standards to protect animals.

Kering said that they will improve the treatment that their providers give to the animals they use for their raw materials. The company uses bovine leather for purses and bags and goat hair to produce cashmere for suits and sweaters.

The French company will use the European Union animal protection standard which is one of the most rigorous of the world. It will require providers to breed animals in free field and not in feedlots.

“Most of the world is not conscious about the fact that animals are creatures that feel”, said to BOF Marie-Claire Daveu, Kering’s Sustainability Director

We celebrate this initiative!

Solvang: A Danish spot in the Middle of California!

Por Sole Ainesa

Le Banana travelled to Solvang, a Danish pearl in Santa Ynez Valley, California, that breaks with the typical West Coast landscape and offers a wonderful adventure surrounded by windmills, vineyards, and lavender fields; a unique experience that you can’t miss if you are thinking about visiting California.

Solvang stands far from the noise and lights of Los Angeles and San Francisco and its history dates back from 1911. Bakeries and nature are at the core of this town that seems to have been taken out from a Fairy Tale.

The city is two hours and a half away from Los Ángeles by 101 Highway and the best idea is to go early in the morning to enjoy the beautiful landscapes and the great Ocean views.

What to do there?

Bakeries:

The town has a tiny city center that can be walked in just a few hours. Bakeries are one of the greatest tourist attractions because they sell authentic Danish cakes. Tasting each one of them is almost a must! They are incredible! The most traditional are Birkholm’s Bakery & Café, which has maintained the family tradition for three generations, The Solvang Bakery and Mortensen’s Danish Bakery. Everything is delicious. Solvang Restaurant is the only place where you can try Aebleskiver, typical Danish fritter with raspberry  jam that are sheer pleasure.

Wines:

Visiting vineyards and tasting wines is also an incredible experience at Solvang. Local grapes are planted and grown there and they are well known all over the world, though it’s true that it was thanks to the film Sideways, which was shot there and won an Oscar in 2004, that the city started to be recognized as an important city in the global wine world.

Most of the more that 120 wineries of the area are boutique and familiar and they are open the whole year.

There are many options for those who want to taste wines. But Sevatap Winery, located at a corner inside a windmill, stands out. There are also places like Gainey Vineyard, a few kilometers away from Solvang where you can enjoy the day with a picnic among vineyards while you taste an exquisite wine. A unique experience!

Museums:

At Elverhoj History and Art Museum, located at a historical building from XVIII century, you can appreciate Solvang history in pictures, fashion, gadgets and screens.

Hotel:

The Landsby, which means “the village” in Danish, is a modern boutique hotel which was recently remodeled. It has 41 Scandinavian contemporary rooms. It’s restaurant, Mid + Vin, which is only open at night, mixes worldwide flavors and incorporates them to local food.

Mirabelle Inn & Restaurant: this boutique hotel is at Solvang city center and has a more traditional style. First & Oak, its restaurant which opens only for dinner, is considered one of the best in the Valley. The hotel offers different activities such as a tour around Coquelicot Estate, the vineyards of the owner.

Outdoors activities:

Going around the area and discovering the different towns of the place is the perfect plan if you visit this region. Los Olivos is one of the must- see towns. It is just 9 kilometres away from Solvang and it seems to have come out from a movie.

Along the route that links both towns there are tens of vineyards that can be visited and where people can do wine tasting if they want. And for those we love sports, the paths are perfect to ride bikes, walk or run around.

June and July are lavender blossom months. This time of the year is perfect to visit the Clairmont Lavender Farms, where you can also buy typical local products.

If you visit Solvang, please share your experience with us using the hashtag #LeBanana

Desert X: 90 km of pure art at Coachella Valley!

By Pame Aguirre Leonetti

Coachella Valley is famous all over the world because of its great music festival which, since 1990, gathers the best of international music. But Californian desert has also been transformed into the biggest outdoors museum of the world, with contemporary artworks spread all through 88 kilometers in the middle of nowhere.

It is the exhibition“Desert X”, first inaugurated in 2017 with 16 artworks by renowned artists and which nowadays, in its second edition, is trying to find its place as another must see of Palm Springs.

The idea behind this exhibition is to raise awareness about the importance of protecting the environment. That’s why all the installations stand in the middle of the valley, surrounded by the highest mountains of the United States, in a place that once was considered sacred by Native Americans.

This year, the exhibition has 19 site specific artworks by 19 international artists curated by Amanda Hunt y Matthew Schum. Under artistic direction of Neville Wakefield they represent in different ways the ecosystem balance theme.

Le Banana Picks

Le Banana went around Coachella Valley to tell you which artworks of “Desert X” you can’t miss if you are in California or if you are thinking of traveling to go to Coachella Music Festival.

“Western Flag”, by Irish artist John Gerrard is a es must-see.  A flag with made of seven black smoke stripes created with LED lights that, as the artist said: “tries to disrupt the audience and make visible the carbon dioxide that pollutes the environment.

Another must see is “Specter”: a huge orange monoliths made of neon so bright that dazzles everyone. The image, created by Sterling Ruby, seems to be an optical illusion in the middle of the desert. And the contrast between neon and nature makes people think about the ecosystem surrounding it all.

At Rancho Mirage area, Mexican artist Pía Camil, who enchanted us all at Art Basel Buenos Aires,  set the artwork “Lover’s rainbow”, a stunning 12 meters long and 5 meters tall rainbow that symbolizes rain and fertility.

“Dive-in”, by Danish artistic group “Superflex” is another work that must be seen at Desert X, and must be photographed, of course, because it is super Instagrammable.  The artwork is a kind of huge pink walls that transform into an open doors cinema whore sea images are shown . The message? Teach the audience that that place was once an Ocean and the global warming can transform it into water again.

Native tribes are also present at Desert X and are another attraction. Photographer Cara Romero, who has chemehuevi ancestors, created a series of photos that resemble the posters that can be seen by American Highways to remind that those lands belonged to Native Americans.

LB Info

Where? Coachella Valley, Palm Springs, California

When? Until April 21st

Price? It free and open to everyone!

If you want to know more about Desert X  visit the official website and download the app with an interactive map of all the installations.

LollaAR 19: Art, Art, and more Art at the festival

By Pame Aguirre Leonetti

Art is the essence of  Lollapalooza, but on Argentina’s Sixth Edition, which has just finished at San Isidro Racecourse, Argentine Art was at the center of the festival with installations and experiences that added color, music and relax.

The presence of iconic Marta Minujín was undoubtedly the greatest surprise of Lollapalooza Argentina 2019. The artist who has been shaking up local creative arenas since 1960 with her pop and conceptual works of art arrived at the festival with her “Sculpture of Desires”, a soft sculpture that she created in 2017 and that now she reinvented specially for the festival.

The installation, inspired by her famous artworks made of mattresses, belongs to her public art genealogy and was an ode to her “psychedelic art”. Located in the middle of the field, the sculpture  drove everyone’s attention and called for interaction. At night, under the light of lamps and reflectors, it was even more impressive. As Minujín said: “Illuminated it is marvelous, enjoy it, go through it, get inside, stay inside to experience a moment of art to live in art”.

French-Argentine artist Pablo Reinoso, globally  known for his benches and chairs that seem to infinitely melt down and stretch out, presented his “Lolla Chill Out” experience for second time at the festival – he had done so last year. This time the installation consisted of a huge circle made of cushioned sun loungers where music and comfort invited to close the eyes and enjoy the peace of fresh air to then go back to the stages full of energy.

The other artistic intervention could be seen at the sign that welcomed everyone into the festival, created by artist Cynthia Cohen. Inspired by her series “Brilliant Future”, which includes huge rings and precious stones in oil painting, she transformed the material of the sign.  Cohen chose metallic vinyl in vibrant colors to create an artwork in which shine and reflection were at the center. The aim? That each festival goer could be reflected there and immediately be inside Lolla universe.

And art was also present in its performatic and audiovisual version thanks to Matias and Pablo Duville who created a multi sensorial experience dressed in particular leather and velvet capes and hats. They presented Centolla Society at one of the little houses of the field, in a show that was full of beats, guitar and bass sounds, and synthesizers, accompanied by a series of images that created an almost unfathomable experience.

Which was the experience you liked the most?

LOLLA DAY 3: The Sweet Goodbye

By Cata Greloni Pierri

Music for everyone; all the genres, all the styles, all the rhythms closed the Third Day of Lollapalooza Argentina Sixth Edition.

“Good night everybody! Sorry, good afternoon! It is an honor for me to be here at the greatest festival of the world”, said La Mona Jiménez as soon as he went up on Main Stage 1 at San Isidro Racecourse.

Carlitos Jiménez -who has released 90 albums and has a 50 year career as a professional singer- made his debut at Lollapalooza and he didn’t let us down. He sang all his hits: “Un muchacho de barrio”,“Quién se ha tomado todo el vino”, “La pupera” y “Beso a beso”; and after the show he brought us the funniest moment of the festival when he met Lollapalooza creator and did not recognize him.

They aren’t Led Zeppelin, but anyway, Greta Van Fleet centennial and millennial audience for sure doesn’t ’t know anything about the band led by Jimmy Page and Robert Plant. Kizka brothers, the twenty- year-old American rockers who appeared in 2012 to change rock and roll, drove festival goers crazy before sunset. Josh went up on stage dressed in 70s clothes, and so did the rest of the band. Embroidered vests, velvet black and red pants, fringes and metallic shirts were part of their outfits. They started with“Highway Tune”, and they followed with “When The Curtain Falls”, other songs from their album From The Fires (2017) and others from Anthem of the Peaceful Army, released last year.

It was his first time at Lollapalooza but he made his debut directly from Main Stage 1: Paulo Londra, the latest Argentine trap idol born in Cordoba who has millions of views on all social media, offered a great show on Lolla Day 3. As a s good showman, the 20-year-old singer opened his show inviting someone from the public to strike some balls to a basketball hoop. Then he sang “Cuando te besé”, “Adán y Eva”and “Dímelo”. For the flashes and to close the show, he invited Steve Aoki to play together “Forever Alone” remix.

When Londres finished, Lenny Kravitz played “Fly Away” and he then went on with other classics and some of his last songs such as Raise Vibration. When he finished singing “American Woman”, he sang Bob Marley’s “Get Up, Stand Up”, and then he continued with“Low”, “It’s not Over ’til It’s Over”and “Again”. As the rockstar he is, New Yorker singer went off the stage by the end of the show  to meet his audience and he closed the night with “Are You Gonna Go My Way”.

Kendrick Lamar controls silences, flow and intensity as no one else. On his first show in Argentina, Kung Fu Kenny -his alter ego with whom he opened a series of visuals short films- went from the pure rap of  DNA and ELEMENT (from the album DAMN) to the funk style of“King Kunta”, of To Pimp A Butterfly. He also tested his old fans with album that changed it all: good kid, m.A.A.d city. He sang “Swimming Pools” and then “Backseat Freestyle”, with fans shouting “DRANK!” all the time. Then he asked for a minute of silence in honor of Nipsie Hussle, an LA rapper who died that very same day in ring of his clothes store. “We’ve lost a soldier”, he said after interpreting “PRIDE”.

On the second part of the show, he sang some of his best known songs, and people didn’t stop dancing and singing for a single second at Main Stage 1. To close the show he played “LOVE”, “Bitch Don’t Kill My Vibe”, “HUMBLE” and the more popular “All The Stars” which he created for the film Black Panther, in collaboration with SZA.

LOLLA DAY 2: ALL THE PARTIES, THE PARTY

0

By Cata Greloni Pierri

With LGBQTI shows, and trap and rock for crowds, the 100.000 people who visited San Isidro Racecourse on Lolla’s second day were partying all day long.

“Let’s sing somth!”, says Ca7riel from Main Stage 2, with his upper body naked, right after midday on Lollapalooza Argentina day 2. Catriel Guerriero is the new local trap idol and Paco Amoroso plays along him – he is wearing a green striped T shirt, and leggings and he has, as always, his typical blonde hair-, “a punk of the future” as he defines himself, who got on stage to play his mega hits “Jala Jala” and “Ouke”. Each beat was accompanied by streams of water dumped by security guards on the passionate audience.

Following the style of local indie, the band native of Mendoza Province, Perras on the beach played next from Alternative Stage; they started with their ballad “Puchos” and then they went on with more powerful songs. Simón Poxyran sang his love song “a la Cami” dedicated to his girlfriend; and when they played Turco X, Ca7riel got on the stage to rap as a guest artist and they closed the show singing “Sangucci”, with Bruno Beguerie as frontman, rapping and criticizing “those cheap copies that know a lot about Internet but nothing about ghettos”.

Dressed in black, with lots of dancers on stage and guests rappers such as Pol-y and Femigangsta, Lelé made her debut at Lollapalooza’s main stage that will then host The 1975 and Arctic Monkeys. The band’s sound board did not work properly and the songs of her last album such as “No me sueltes” and “Haters” sounded intermittent; she closed with “La Benjamín”, and she saved the show thanks to her trap, sensuality and resilience.

On the other side of the Racecourse, on Alternative Stage, and with an electric energy, French singer JAIN did not stay quiet for a single second. Best known as Jeanne Galice, she started her solo set dressed in the same blue astronaut like overall she worn for the video of “Oh man”, her pop song with western influences. In front of an audience full of fans with colorful hairs and rare haircuts, JAIN rapped, sampled danced “Star” and made everyone jump with her tiny psychedelic and disco beats box. She stirred the public up and paved the way for Troye Sivan.

South African 23 year-old musician, began his show just as he started his sideshow at Niceto on Thursday. With the song “Seventeen”, Troye sings about sexual initiation, then he continued with “Bloom”, in which he speaks about teen love. “¡Wow! This seems the end of Bohemian Rapsody”, shouted the singer who was born ten years after Queen’s Live Aid ‘85, and who for sure must have thought more about Netflix biopic when he said that than about the original show.

When he sang “Heaven” he got emotional. The anthem about how it is coming out of the closet and about all the rejection he went through was the perfect moment for everyone to unfold their LGBQTI flags, both on stage and among the audience.

St. Vincent appeared on stage on a circular base as a rock dominatrix: super high vinyl boots that seemed to be made of pitch, a leather strapless body and fishnet stockings. As if were a seduction weapon, her fluor guitar, lightened up by ultraviolet flashes, the only element on stage. After singing “Sugar Boy”and “Los Ageless”, and before “Digital Witness”, Annie Clark changed her guitar (for another Ernie Ball Music Man always designed by her) and she seduced the crowd with an intimate show that also offered a little bit of bizarre humor from the screens which showed her as a ghoulish clown with a black bob and McQueen like mouth who answers and hangs up a phone.

“Hello Argentina! Do want more music? She shouted in the middle of the show and the answer was “Yes! Masseduction”. This woman, that is as complex as all the guitars she has, not only seduced Argentine crowds from Alternative stage but also left everyone thinking and reflecting.

When the sun started to set, British from The 1975 appeared on Main Stage 1. With dancing pop rock and Romantic ballads, the band led by Matthew Healy, Adam Hann, Ross MacDonald and George Daniel presented its fourth album, Notes on a Conditional Form, which was more successful than their previous ones such aa “Love It If We Made It” and Sex.

After Troye Sivan afternoon show, it was Sam Smith time. The English singer made his debut in Argentina at Mail Stage 2, singing the repertoire that made him famous such as the collabs with Disclousure, Latchand Omen”  and his ballads “Stay With Me”and. “I´m Not The Only One”, and he showed a perfect register all the time.

With English punctuality, as Sam Smith did at Main Stage 2, Arctic Monkeys  appeared on the opposite stage to offer a mutant show that lasted one hour and a half.  The band that has been led by Alex Turner for more than 15 years offered a perfect show which went from guitar rock in the beginning to their more famous songs such as “Do I Wanna Know”, “Brianstorm”and “I Bet You Look On The Dancefloor”, going through other singles from their latest album, more melodic and lounge, Tranquility Base Hotel + Casino.

Una publicación compartida de Lollapalooza Argentina (@lollapaloozaar) el

They played the songs “One Point Perspective”, and “Four Out Of Five” among many others and many encores, while Turner, dressed like James Dean and Elvis, took off his aviator sunglasses.

The band changes all the time and goes through different sounds as Turner goes around the fictional hotel he creates on stage and not only do the Arctic Monkeys get out of all that experimentation safe and sound but they also make a good impression on the audience thanks to the solid, sensual and precise basis that characterize them.

“We are giving it all guys!”, shouted Dak1llah after singing  Qu3 la chp3n from the Alternative Stage. It was not clear whether she was talking about her show or about Lollapalooza Argentina Sixth Edition, which had just started at San Isidro Racecourse.

Dressed as a sporty warrior in a green and black suit, the rapper who started to be famous thanks to The Fifth Step sang many of her hits as Number One in front of festival goers who arrived early, right after midday.

“What’s up girls and guys? Mi name is Kamasi Washington and I am really happy to be here today”. The saxophonist who is changing today’s music spectrum together with The Next Step introduced himself using gender-inclusive languange and he  started playing jazz straight away, rhythm and substance the afternoon of the first day. Going right to the roots, the producer and composer who collaborated with Thundercat and Kendrick Lamar and with Ibeyi sisters played the songs of his album The Epic. At the sale time but from the other side of the Racecourse, dressed in typical seventies clothes, Chilean Alex Anwandter played songs from all his albums but mainly from Latin America, the album he edited at the end of last year.

Rosalía broke all the audience records at six PM, with almost 100.000 festival goers. Chanelized, with a golden tweed short jacket, corseted skirt, and eighties like jewels, with a Royalty-Sporty kind of look she opened her show with her success “Pienso en tu Mirá”, from the album El Mal Querer.

On a light platform and with a group of dancers that were like sporty angels, the latest flamenco surprise star singer who is only 25 years old took over the Alternative stage when the sun started to set.

“Argentina, this song is for those who have listened to the angels”, she said before singing “Catalina” a cappella. In the middle of the show she showed her flamenco dancer skills: heel taps, clapping, and  castanets together with Pablo Díaz Reixa, the producer better known as El Guincho.

By the end of the show and in the middle of great  choreographies, Rosalía performed for the first time her new single, “Con altura”, which she sang together with J Balvin, one of the most successful songs of the day.

Dressed in a sporty customized Argentine tracksuit with number 13 on the back, Post Malone broke into Main Stage 2 full of energy and rhythm to the sound of his emo (t)rap, ready to wear out his vocal chords. Austin Richard Post does not need a band and beats are directly sent from  tracks and just with that he spreads his power and good vibes all around. “This song is about arriving to the party and knowing that you are really cool”, he said before “G Wagon” and after his great repetitive “Better Now”.

Post filled Festival goers with positive energy but the most expected show of the night was the one of Twenty One Pilots. After the show of Newyorker banda Interpol at Main Stage 1 and with a change of audience from +30 to almost the half, screens were suddenly full of black, white and red visuals and everything was burnt out. Ohio duet burnt a car on stage,  Tyler Joseph sang from a platform and he did all the most he could, while Josh Dun played the drums from another platform above the public.

To close the night up,  Steve Aoki appeared triunphant on stage with great visuals on the back. Wearing a Boca T-shirt, with Pavón 7 on its back, and jeans painted with graffiti, the DJ that is considered one of the best in his type by DJ Magazine, played songs from his second album, Neon Future, and presented a remix by  Paulo Londra, who he considers a great talent and the best artist from the new generation. He lado honored his friend and colleague Avicii and closed the night with an EDM version of  Bella Ciao.

We Love: Danna Paola, the mexician who transgress Netflix

By Leandro Infante

Danna Paola is a child prodigy who started her career as an actress when she was six and from then on she never stopped working and being part of great successful projects. She grew up in the limelight and last year she really made it with her last role in Netflix latest success, Élite. Le Banana talked with her and she told us some of her secrets.

How did your life change after Élite? Did you imagine it will be so successful?

My personal life is still the same, the only difference is that now I spend more time in Madrid. But my professional life changed a lot. People are so close to me now, they talk to me through social media, I can feel their love and it is really fantastic to see all that love. Since it first release, Élite has been the most watched series in more than 20 countries, something I had never felt before.

Your career in Mexico has always been successful. You had the leading role in many national sitcoms and Elite was your launchpad to the world, how did you get there?

It is a great story. I have an email account in my Instagram profile so that fans can email me and send me all their love. One day, I was reading all these messages and I saw that among spam emails I had an email from Netflix telling me something about Elite project and the casting process. I thought it was a little bit weird sonI told my manager about it and he confirmed the news to me. Then I forgot about it and the night before the casting I went to a party sonI didn’t have time to prepare for it so when my time came I created a very Mexican and personal  “Mini Lu” because I hadn’t learnt Spanish idioms, lexicon or collocations. Just five days after the casting, they confirmed my role in the series and I had to move to Madrid to start recording.

Nowadays you are recording the second season and the photos you share from the set do nothing but increase everybody’s expectations. What can you tell us about it?

I can’t say anything yet! The only thing I can say is, as Rosalia says, you will fall in love with the second season. There are new characters, there is more drama, and there will be stronger things regarding the script.

Do you identify with your character?

I love , she is a character I really enjoy. Before I had only interpreted girls which were  nice, dreamers and full of problems, but Lu is quite different and allows me to use other tools. She is a villain, but deep inside she no other thing than a vulnerable insecure girl who feels quite alone. I just identify with her in how perfectionist she is. We both look for perfection no matter what. I spent my whole life trying to do things correctly and I try to show something of that in the series.

Which is your favorite couple of the series?

Omander of course. Omar and Ander couple has me totally in love. They created this couple in a perfect way and they have achieved something incredible.

Music is your other passion and you are also successful there. Last year you launched “Happy Ending” and it is still a success, with more than 29 million views on YouTube. Are thinking of launching new singles?

I have come back to music after 5 years away. Ieft it because I wasn’t enjoying it any longer. I was like fighting against myself asking myself all the time: what’s next?  It wasn’t till I changed some things in my life that I felt I Was ready to come back. “Happy ending” is the result of that inner search and I am really happy with it because it is part of Elite sound track and that is why it is so successful. I created to more songs that will be heard in the second season and that you will love!

You are always wearing the latest fashion items and clothes by international best brands, How much do you care about fashion?

Fashion is my life,  how I dress shows how I feel, how I am, what I feel towards music. Fashion includes all those aspects. I don’t follow a style, I try to be myself and show that. Most of my outfits are spontaneous, I like mixing things, colors and textures.

Which are your favorite brands or designers?

Well, now that I am interpreting Lu I have discovered skillful designers such as Dolce & Gabbana, Dsquared2, Miu Miu, and Gucci. These are just some of the brands I like. In Madrid I discovered Atelier Villalba, a group of young cool designers that I love.

How would you define your style? Do you have a muse?

My style speaks about my freedom. I like fashion but for me comfort comes first. I admire Rihanna, her style is amazing.

Do you have any favorite item or object?

Now I love hoodies and jean oversize  jackets. The go well together. Black items are my favorite.

Your makeup is always perfect, which style do you follow and which are your tips to achieve a perfect look?

Now I am playing a little bit more with makeup up. During the day I like to look natural, I just base and a little bit of illumination. When it comes to the red carpet, I try to innovate. I have a team of people that help me choose the best look: more defined lips, a little bit more of color, more powerful eyebrows.

Do you have a facial care routine? Which are you essential products?

The best secret is to drink a lot of water. The more water you drink, there better your skin. I use a lot of masks, whenever I have some spare time, I try something new, and once a week a deeply exfoliate my face.  Some years ago I used to go to sleep without removing my makeup but now I Know it is very important to remove it. My essentials are moisturizing serums by Esteé Lauder, and Dior and Lancôme creams. At night I use Chanel patches and some products by Clinique.

You are really  active in social media, which one is your favorite and why?

I like being connected and knowing what is happening around me, that’s why I am always really active in social media. I also have my “detox” moments when I don’t use them. I love Instagram, I find everything si need there and it is constantly updated. Besides, it allows you to express yourself and share it with people.

If you had to choose 5 Instagram accounts to follow, which ones would you choose?

I follow a lot of  fashion magazines, celebs, food blogs and other inspirational, I couldn’t choose just five.

Do you have time for love?

Oh! What a question! Journalists love making up love stories with me. For me love is all. It is not just about one person, it is about sharing time, moments, feelings, good energy. It is about loving deeply so of course, there is always time for love and for what and who you really love.

What inspires you?

It depends. It is a wide question, in general music is what inspires me most and what gives me the energy I need.

Which are your projects for the future?

Élite and my music!

If you had to give a piece of advice to someone who drama of having a career like yours, what would you say?

Never stop. Try to achieve your dreams breaking your own barriers, and enjoy the process, because that is the most beautiful part.

How did your career start?

When I was 9 my mother send me to learn guitar because I didn’t like a lot being with people and when I saw the instrument, it was love at first sight. Each day, when I came back from school I got it and I sang to its music and that turned into a routine for me. When I was finishing school I started using social media to record myself and change some musical things and that is how this phenomenon started. First I was followed just by my family, then by people from nearby towns and the the audience was broadening till it was what it is now.

Are you surprised by the number of people who follow you?

I was never aware of what I could generate, I did it for my family and friends. I always liked the acknowledgment of people from my town, Pehuajo, but it became more like a job when I moved to Buenos Aires, after finishing high school. I was called to play at bars, weddings, birthday parties and then in 2017 I started working with brands and musicians. Last year everything was more formal and we did even five shows per week so that people know me all along the country.

And next year you recorded your first EP, Vaivenes….

I wanted to get a little bit away from covers and start creating my own music with producers and composers. I want to grow in my career and each time I get on a stage and I listen to the audience singing my songs I feel a great joy. For the EP with created three songs and each one of them is about different moments of a love relationship. The first one is called Solo necesito One Love and it is about that first moment when you are absolving love with the other person. The second one is the one I like the most, it is called Vuelvo Contigo, and it is a sad ballad. It is about crisis. Lado a lao is the most urban of the three and it is about the process of going through those crisis and solving them.

What inspired you to create these songs?

Many people ask me if I am inspired by personal experiences, but the truth is not. They are about feelings that everyone feels some time. My friends always tell me their problems and I am good at listening to them so they are many times my inspiration. Last year I gathered with two Colombian producers and a Mexican composer and in just one afternoon we created “Dime para cuando¨. When you have people from so many countries producing something everything is better. The moment I met Mexican composer Carola Rozas immediately got one really well. She knows my voice and what I like doing.

You also did many collabs.

Yes, I sang with Sofía Reyes and Paty Cantú and we  did a new version of one of their songs for Instagram. I would like to do something with Rosalía, I admire her a lot. Also with J Balvin, Ozuna or Morat, and with Bancho, who has a more acoustic kind of music.

Have you ever thought of writing songs and singing in English?

It might be a chance but in the future, now I want to sing in my own language. I would like to be known as a Latin singer first. Nowadays it is not necessary to sing in English to have a successful career.

Do you enjoy the production process?

Our production meeting last six or seven hours and we end up really exhausted but I really enjoy the process and I love it. I have never felt frustrated about it.

What does it mean to you being part of William Morris talents?

The most important aspect of being part of this agency is the great amount of global talents who came from it. I can hardly believe it. They are enthusiastic about my future and I am glad with that and inspires me to work harder to grow a little bit more each day.

How is for you to sing in the United States?

American people love listening to music in Spanish. It is a great moment for us because there are lot of Latin artist working with collabs and featurings. Maybe people in the States don’t understand the lyrics but they like listening to our music and that is great. Argentine people are much more passionate, in the States they are colder. But I have always had a very respectful and loving audience. I know I have a lot to experience yet here in my country but I think it is ok to start being known abroad also. In the past you had to be really famous here to go abroad, but now things have changed.
