Few people changed the history of music as Bowie did: a genius who transformed forever the way of creating song and rhythms and how the creative act is understood. And no one could get his essence better tan Mick Rock, who, apart from photographing stars such as Iggy Pop, Lou Reed, Syd Barret, Queen, Blondie and los Ramones, from 1972 photographed and was witness of the life and imagination of the “White Duke” and of his transformation into the character Ziggy Stardust.
That’s why the exhibition “Bowie by Mick Rock”, which DF Entertainment and Access Creative Agency New York will present at La Rural 8th Room as from tomorrow and until May 28th, is a fascinating journey through one of the most interesting and attractive artistic worlds of all times.
From Bowie’s iconic lightning bolt at the entrance of the exhibition, through each one of the colorful panels with huge photographs, till the projections, unpublished videos, and visual effects: everything is a never-ending artistic celebration that moves from the beginning to the end.
The inauguration of the exhibition was a success and Mick Rock was in every detail and paying attention to the questions and comments of all the celebrities and artists that attended the event. It was a great party in which art was celebrated all through, and it will go on till the end of May so you don’t have excuses, don’t miss it!
