“Designers BA” fashion week had a luxury last-day: Fabián Zitta presented Japonista, his SS 2017 collection, and the place chosen for the event was the impressive Buenos Aires Four Seasons Mansion.
The setting displaced the typical catwalks and chose instead a more interactive option. The hotel’s rooms were transformed into photography sets and there, as if they were witnessing the backstage of a film, guests could see and appreciate the designs.
The happening was composed of three rooms, each one with a specific chromatic palette: red, yellow and green. The audience was divided in three and, when music started, the tour around the shootings let out. After some minutes, a voiceover told that people should move on to another station: an innovative and attractive performance.
But, beyond the setting, Japonista stood out because of its outfits and pieces of clothing which captivated everyone with their finesse and were loyal to Zitta’s refined style.
The designer’s trend? The collection has a noticeable Japanese inspiration which was reflected both in the textures, with floral images, silk, and transparencies, and in the election of typical Eastern items such as kimonos.
The items of the season? Dresses, overalls, skirts, and tops are protagonists both for the night and the afternoon.
The palette? The choice of strong colors is the stamp of the new season and gives a fresh and summer like energy: red, yellow and green are the axis of Japonista and are accompanied by details in nude that are the perfect complement.
