Juana de Arco celebrated her 18th birthday in Japan opening two new stores, one in Tokyo and another one in Osaka, that add up to the other two that the brand already had in that country.
Le Banana was at the exclusive parties, in which Mariana Cortés, Juana’s creator, said that she was happy for the opportunity of celebrating Juana’s 18th birthday at Japan, a place where people are warm and sensitive and give a special value to her work.
The celebrations took place during different days in Tokyo, Kyoto, and Osaka. The first city that honored Juana was Tokyo. The gala gathered Juana’s followers, journalists, and important people from Japan’s Argentine Embassy.
Each celebration was unique and in all of them there was an unforgettable joyful atmosphere. Guests were honored with special teas, and sweets typical from each city. Besides, T-shirts were printed with drawings and Mariana Cortés’ image.
The events also had the presence of Geo Bogunovich, who has been Juana’s photographer for three years now, was also there. The artist displayed a series of black and white analog photographs, part of a project that tries to depict “the spirit of Juana de Arco girl” in various characters and women.
The celebrations and the Japan tour closed with a public yoga class, because the yoga line is one of the most important of the brand and the favorite of Juana’s Japanese fans, who, as Saya, one of Juana Japan’s employees, told us, really enjoy the items of a brand that offers patterns and colors that are different from those typical of their own culture.
Happy Birthday Juana!
Enjoy it!
